So Much To Say

It has been a busy few weeks. T-ball, tennis, violin, church ... and that's just a fraction of it. I've become one of those moms. Too busy. I didn't intend for this spring to be this way. Sweet Henry cried when his winter tennis clinic was finished so what was a mom to do ... we had already signed up for T-ball. I caved and signed him up for tennis too. Only two more weeks of this pace and things will lighten up a bit - thankfully!

Henry had a great birthday (thanks for all the wishes). We celebrated Star Wars style at a local indoor gym.

This is how most of my pictures of Henry turned out ...

and John ...

I finished a bag for me. Remember this purse? I made it's twin ... only 4 1/2 months after I said I would.

My hair is changing. It's lost most of it's curl since I had John and it's coarser not to mention grayer (I don't color it). I've been on a quest for some new hair products. Any suggestions? Remember, I'm a generic kinda gal. I felt like my hair was kind of dull looking and thought it needed a vinegar rinse. I hadn't done one of those in a loooong time. I forgot that I would smell like salad all day. Croutons anyone?

Oh my, if I had known that, I would have invited you for lunch! I've never tried a vinegar rinse. Does it really work?

After Sean and Grace were born, my hair changed too so I chopped it all off! I had it cut shorter than I had ever had it as an adult, and I loved it! It looked so much better and fuller, even though I had lost a lot after the two youngest were born. But then it started growing back and filling in everywhere, so now I wear it longer because it's not so straggly looking and it curls again. With the hot weather coming, I will be able to put it up off my neck, and my husband prefers it longer, so I'll probably keep it long now.

So that didn't answer anything, did it? Well, at least you know you aren't alone! Glad I could be so helpful ;)

Too funny -- I never heard of a vinegar rinse. What do you do -- just drench your head in a couple of cups....plain white, red or cider?

And don't even get me started on gray hair (I blame my daughter for each and every strand). I'm just letting it go gray. Right now, it's kind of salt-and-pepperish. I can live with it.

I use sunsilk, um, something to do with curly hair, shampoo and conditioner. It really cuts down on my frizz and leaves my hair shiny and soft, even though it's an awful damaged mess...

It's so nice to hear that there are other people that don't dye - living in California, you can easily get the impression that you might be the only one...

Ahhhh, hair. Before I had Charlie I colored it all the time, but after the pregnancy I developed an allergy to haircolorants and can't use 'em anymore, unless I want to be itchy and miserable for a few days after. I've taken to using henna cream colorants on my hair, and it works okay, but not as well as L'Oreal, dangit!

Your son is so cute. I hope he had a great birthday. It has been wild and busy here, too.

We are in the midst of some remodeling and doing most of it ourselves with the help of my brother.
