Consider yourself warned ...

Have you heard of craft hope? It's a project that Jade has started. Go check it out. Spread the love ... help give some hope.

Got little ones around? Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighborhood children hanging out at your house will do too ... Blue Yonder's Book of Days is awesome. I highly recommend it. I just checked out a ton of books from our library that I would have never discovered otherwise ... or maybe I should say, Henry would never have discovered otherwise.

Ok - the knitting and crochet book are for me ;-D Thank you Paige for the sock knitting book recommendation ... and who can resist a book titled Stitch 'N Bitch - ha!

This little project has allowed me (not so academic me) to help with experiments, read books, and muddle through crafts that this momma would never had thought of. Click on over ... get yourself a copy.

Feeling a little vintage? No, not you but your stuff ... I saw this book on Paige's blog and immediately went to my library's web site to see if they had it. Nope. Arg. So I checked half.com. Oh yeah .. not only was I able to get it, but a brand new copy for dirt cheap! Very cool ideas in here. Who had ever thought of taking an old tablecloth and turning it into a duvet cover? I hadn't but I'm on the look out now!

If you are looking for a good laugh you most definitely should check out Mindy's blog. Not only can she help you turn a frown upside down but she hosts great swaps. She's currently hosting her 4th annual Palooza. I'd say it's best explained by dear Mindy. Go take a peek.

We got a wee bit of snow Monday night. I nearly broke my neck trying to get a picture because I knew it would melt as soon as the sun hit it ...

and it did. But not in enough time to unfreeze my car doors! I had a devil of a time getting those things open.

I still haven't finished the zippered pouch but I did take pictures of my purse and diaper clutch. I used the general guidelines from Bend the Rules for the Beauty Bag and the the Artsy clutch. I just need to type up the modifications in a post. Maybe I'll get that done tomorrow.

For some reason I seem to be really behind. I can't really put my finger on it. I feel like I'm treading water. I guess that's a good thing ... at least I'm not drowning! Not yet at least - ha! I have sooooo many things I want to make / learn / read / clean (well - don't really want to do that, but you know ...) / bake / cook and I seem to be all over the place. I'm working on 2 scarves - one crochet and one knitted (that one has a story for another post) - I started these baby booties (I soooo want to be able to make baby booties) but my soles are slightly off - I still have a curtain to finish - and roman shades to make (um - yeah, I've had that fabric for a year now) - a shower curtain for my upstairs bathroom - the zippered pouch to match my new purse - lunch totes for Henry and John - finish the book that I am reading (only 462 more pages to go) - cook more from this book ... are you still there? I know - it makes my head want to explode. So tell me, how do you do it? Now I am one of those people who actually is more efficient with a lot going on but I've somehow come to a crossroads and well ... just stopped. I can't seem to focus therefore nothing is getting done. Ever happen to you? I'd love to hear about it - seriously. You know misery loves company ...

I have to chuckle ... the amount of time it took me to put this post together I could have finished my zippered pouch and now John is awake from his nap ... off to get my little man and ramble through some of our new books from the library; now that my friends will be time well spent.

yes, I get bogged down with too many projects that I want to do. Sometimes it helps to clean out & organize my craft room. If I have books & ideas scattered all arround of project that I never have gotten to I will put them away & start on something new.

I cant tell you how many nap times have been used up blogging instead of cleaning or sewing or reading. Sometimes it helps to gather inspiration from other blogs then I'm motivated to tackle the big list...that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Hey, I've been looking for that stitch n bitch book...let me know how it is! We're still at the beach...it snowed here today...we're heading home tomorrow, hopefully to warmer temps!

Yeah, I'm with you. I have so many crafty projects I want to do, and so many house-ish projects I NEED to do, and I really do spend a lot of time pondering my next move instead of ... just getting a move on!

Oh, I have so many things that I wanna do, should do, etc. It is overwhelming sometimes - I know how you feel! It helps me to have everything put everything away in its proper place so that I work on and look at only my current WIP. (I always have more than one knitting project in the works, though. Knitting doesn't count! heehee.) If I have books and papers and PDF printouts all over the place I can't focus. Oh, and thanks for the mention, too!
