Because You Never Know ...

How many clowns might be looking at your knickers ...

I always feel a little funny when packing and having my undies - well - right there for all who open my suit case in security to see. Just the thought of where they might have been gives me the heebie jeebies. Ok - who am I kidding. I am not flying the friendly skies any time soon but it did give me a good excuse to make this adorable lingerie bag from Simple Sewing With a French Twist.

I wanted to use something from my stash ... and I just love this circus fabric and thought it fit the occasion ... traveling is always a circus with children whether it be via train, plane, or automobile!

I did use this great tool from Dritz (clip 'n turn) for the first time. I definitely will not shy away from patterns with draw strings or ties that go in casings (like the yoga pants in SEW) now that I have this.

This was a fun and fast project. I think it would make a great gift for a bridal shower, birthday, or Christmas ... I was trying to cram in a few projects in before July began ... I might have to add a few of these to the Christmas line up ...

Great fabric!
When I travel, I keep my underthings in a cloth bag my mom made for me years ago, and I have *never* regretted it. The last time I flew, the TSA was so thorough that they completely unpacked my bag and were wanding individual baby shoes. I was so glad my undies weren't heaped on that counter, for all the world to see.
