Do You Know The Muffin Man

I was feeling a bit guilty over the lack of mama made goods so I decided to give life to some froze squash from the fall and a recipe that was successful in the past.

I made a double batch and froze what we didn't eat after a few days. I'm surprised that we haven't already gotten into them ... now that I think about it, I must have felt really guilty because after I made the apple waffles, I made these and then pancakes from my mix.

Yeah.

I felt guilty.

It was time to get to know the muffin carbohydrates man.

Do you know the muffin man?

I'm rubbish when I bake cakes, it's not the baking but the fact I want to eat them all afterwards!

I do know the muffin man....he was visiting at my house for a bit of time every Monday morning - but my family was afraid the muffin man would create muffin tops around the waistbands. Your's look wonderful!! Enjoy your day!

I feel guilty too when there aren't any mama made goodies in the house for the family to enjoy.

Oh yes, we know the muffin man around here. I've got chocolate banana doughnuts on my to-do list today.

The Muffin Man stopped by our house last week with lemon-blueberry muffins; I think he's scheduled to come back today. :)

Love the muffin man. My favorites are raspberry crumb-topped -- but they're a bit labor intensive. I like to think I work off those carbs making them. (As if).

I love the Carbohydrates Man! He's my second favorite after the Butter Man! ;)

Baking is one of my favorite things to do (after reading). It's so rewarding to feed one's family from the efforts of one's own hands. Plus, it always tastes better from the home kitchen.

I have a story about squash (zucchini bread) which will always tug at my heart. We are greeters at our church, and one day a woman came with a foil wrapped block.

"Do you like Zucchini bread?" she asked.

"Yes..." I replied, not sure where she was going.

"Well, I made this for you," she said. "Actually, I made one for you last Sunday, but you weren't here so I made you another one for this Sunday."

My goodness, making me two? Just to be loving? I guess the breads we make, and give, will always speak of loving kindness to me.

Happy Easter!
