Fabulous Fall Foods Friday - Smokin'

As the temperature drops (OK, it's been in the 70's here still but maybe it's dropping in your neck of the woods) it's time to bring out the smoker.

Rocky loves to fire her up and we get to enjoy the scent of what is to come all day long.

Some of our smoking traditions:

~ Turkey on Thanksgiving
~ Ribs on New Years Day seasoned with Ozark
~ Salmon ... whenever we feel like it

Don't forget to check out Paula's Place (sounds like a great restaurant doesn't it?) to see what else is cookin'. Thanks so much Paula for hosting such fabulous Fridays this month!

So tell me - what-cha smokin' in your pipe ... I mean backyard?

Dont' forget TTPT this Tuesday!

We haven't smoked anything in along time. I love smoked fish!

My dad smokes in every season but winter. We are in Michigan, so it's pretty cold here then. He makes the best brisket and pulled pork I have ever had, anywhere, ever. Turkey, chicken, and ribs. I love it when there a bunch of families at my parents house on the lake and it's smokin time!

YUMMMMM! Smoked anything (well, almost) is right on the top of my favorites list. When we were little and lived in Alaska, my aunt and uncle had a smokehouse. The door faced away from the house so it was easy to snake that door open and sneak pieces of salmon without getting caught.

My brother is addicted to his smoker. He's always got something good cooking. I just wish he lived closer to NY than Colorado. It's a little far to go for dinner. Now Virginia.....That may be do-able!
