Falling

Virginia is famous for it's Indian summers. Although the weather is cooling down a bit and the mosquito's and gnats seem to have retreated I know it's only temporary. We will heat back up before it gets really cold and that's ok by me.

Last week when we were getting our goodies from our CSA I couldn't take my eyes off a particular tree. It just screamed fall to me. Of coarse I didn't have my camera.

So I did what any other blogger would do ... I went back and took some pictures!

It won't be too long before the leaves begin to change color.

I'm feeling the urge for a long drive down some country/mountain roads.

The change of the seasons makes me happy. The on coming of fall feels so crisp and comforting. What about you - what are you falling for these days?

I agree! I love the warm days and cool crisp nights! Your new header pic is just stunning. This is my favorite time of year, but I'm sort of in between projects and feeling a little lost. Maybe it would be a good time to do some house cleaning so I can really jump into my next project when the inspiration hits me. We'll see about that!

Autumn is coming in too fast for my liking - I don't even feel like we've had a summer . I do like the fact that you call it " Fall" though , makes more sense ..

It's almost time for Concord Grapes (and more home-made jam). I'm SO EXCITED!

Love that picture and I so would have gone back like you did. I'm falling for fall as well. We had a wet and cool spring, a wet and cool summer and fall seems that it will be more of the same. It's okay by me, because at least it will be the time of year where I think it's okay to stay in by the fire with pumpkin bread baking...

I love (LOVE) fall. Suddenly, I'm so much more motivated than I was when we were suffering through all that heat. And, I'm finally cooking again. Those orange berries are awesome -- they scream FALL.
