Bright Lights :: Big City

We were lucky enough to be able to hit the road again this summer (or should I say hit the beach). This time we returned to our previous destination on the Gulf (which is still thankfully beautiful). It's quite a haul from our neck of the woods so we decided to break up the trip by stopping in Charlotte. Neither Rocky nor John had visited our friends condo so it was a fun pit stop.

I love how my girlfriend his holding on to John's pant loop; as if that would keep him from teetering over their balcony ;-)

One the way to dinner we passed this amazing water fall

See the Panther's stadium (blue seats) in the background. The boys (big and little) have already invited themselves down for a game

Surprisingly there was much action after dusk

So much that we had one tired little fella on our hands

Charlotte, your lights certainly brightened our night

You are so brave traveling with your kids. Maybe having three was what did me in -- never at one point could I put all three in the backseat without a fight erupting. We've denied ourselves many a trip because we just cringe at the thought.

You trip looks like a lot of fun -- the beach and old friends. A great combination.

Your entire trip looks like much fun. I'm a country girl, but love going to the city from time to time. I know how John feels - There's just something about those lights...
