I started with this
Intending to make this
Ended up with this
I couldn't get past one set of the instructions - it was just too advanced for me at this time. If I only had someone to show me I might have been able to move on. sigh. So, I'm now hopping to turn that mess into this
Wish me luck. I feel like I'm walking a tight rope instead of crocheting it!
(Both blankets are from this book.)
Have a great weekend. Next week I will have a few crafty things to share - yae!
Ps - sorry for all the weird spacing - blogger is really giving me a fit tonight. arg.

Hope that the blanket turns out well!!! ;)
No matter which blanket you end up with I'm sure it'll be a beauty. Hey, did you ever make that scarf that looks like knit cable? Was it easy? It's next on my list!
I just did that with a prayer shawl I am crocheting. Good luck!
Grrr...I know how it feels to have to rip something out and start over. Or just throw it in the back of the closet and forget about it forever! Good luck - I wish I was your neighbor so I could pop over and help you figure out those d@#()! instructions!
Those are both great blankets. I will have to try to find that book.
I get so frustrated when that happens. I feel the same way-if someone could just show me that one step I would get it.

Hope your new blanket is going better than the last. I have a wrap that I started making a year and a half ago, about half way done now. It's not that big, but there is a stitch going down every other row that is so awkward for me that I have pretty much given up. I took it out again the other day and looked at it, decided I really do like it, and put it back away again. Someday...
I found your blog from a "Turn The Page Tuesday" participant. I'm laughing at your crochet issues -- I have the same problem and wish (and wish) that someone would help me. Basically, I end up doing either just a double crochet or granny square project because that's the extent of my talents. Good luck!
