Knights In Training

If there ever were little boys (aside from my 2 of course) who would grow up to be true gentlemen, knights in shining armour ... my friends 3 boys are the ones. She has been my 'go to' person for parenting advice (she home schools 4 kiddos), recipes, and so so much more.

They are on their way to Georgia. Job relocation. Too far away if you ask me.

So. How do you say thank you for the unbelievable amount of support and love you have received from a friend and her family? Start sewing.

Her boys are such boys and are very imaginative. They play cops & robbers, cowboys & Indians ... seeing how they are knights in training I thought they need some apparel. One must look good when slaying dragons ...

Capes! As for my friends daughter, this apron is for her. Unfortunately I ran out of time to make something for their new home and my friend - it's still crowded in here. Just like a true friend, she was grateful for what I had made. She in turn had a sweet gift for me. A plaque that reads:

"Good friends are like stars, you don't always see them, but you know they're always there."

God's speed my friend.

I'm sorry your friend is moving so far away. The capes are great. Thank you for the cheering on wishes - I've only succumbed to one Freddo since Sunday :-)

It's miserable when friends move away, isn't it? I bet those boys will love those capes, though.

Oh, that's gotta be sad for you - what a sweet friend you are to make those capes for the kiddos. They're awesome!
