Now It's Gone...Gone...Gone...

It's happened. I've lost that lovin' feeling. I just can't bring myself to attack my sewing table and finish a few projects and start a few that I had in mind. It's a wonder ... just look at my table!

sigh.

I just can't seem to carve out the time. Summer is in full swing and lucky for us we get to spend our days at the pool. What bums me out though is that if I really wanted to make it happen, I could. I never thought I would see the day that I wasn't interested in sewing or crochet (yup - it's taken a hit too).

I was really struggling with it for a while and every time I blogged I was reminded that I was not posting something Some of a Kind made ... other than my children - he he. I originally began blogging as an outlet to share my creative endeavors - let's face it, our hubbies can be only so excited after seeing a new purse, place mat, oven mitt ...for the zillionth time.

I'm taking the pressure off for now. I'll still be here and certainly will have plenty to say (smiles), it just might not be about anything crafty. I'm going to enjoy summer to it's fullest and leave my sewing table alone for a while ... until that loving feeling comes back.  How about you - how do you plan to spend your summer?

Same way Adrienne! The sewing and crafting will be there for as long as it takes, but our precious children will only be this age and this much fun right now! Don't miss it for a project, and do not feel guilty about it! Besides, if you're not in the mood, it wouldn't be much fun to spend time in your sewing room anyway, right? Have fun with the fun stuff and keep sharing it here too! I enjoy reading about your adventures and seeing pics of your darling boys. After all, they are also your handiwork!

Now off to take my kids to swim lessons...FUN!

sewing isn't easy unless it's an instant gratification project. I suggest the bias skirt from OYW. It'll get you going. And crochet? Well, that can go to the pool with you. Hmm, maybe you need to browns ravelry for fresh inspiration. Or maybe, just maybe your brain is making you take a break because holiday sewing and crochet projects are lurking around the corner...in the shade :o)

Girl you know we love ya anyway!! You just do what ever you want. We will still be right here.

Just don't let a troll get you...for reals.

I think we go through "seasons", too. Fall is usually when I get the itch to knit. Spring is crafty stuffs. I say let it go and the feeling will return when it's time. :)

Enjoy the summer!

You go girl! I so agree with you. I wandered into my craft room this evening, (where my craft table looks very much like yours!), puttered around in my pile of "to be done's" and came out empty handed. Just can't seem to do it when the flowers are blooming and the sun is (sometimes) shining. My blogging has taken a big hit as well.
You have fun with your boys and enjoy the summer. It'll be over all to soon~
