The State Of Affairs :: It's Electric

We are moving along slowly but surely over here. Our counter tops have been measured for and are being made ... hopefully in the next week or so they should be in. In the meantime we needed to get our back splash ready.

I have been living with only one outlet on the right side of my kitchen (for almost 6 years!). Forget about programing the coffee maker - that poor thing gets unplugged daily to accommodate whatever needs chopping ~ mixing ~ recharging. I do have another outlet on the far left of my kitchen but if I showed you how 'creative' I've gotten you might turn me into NAOEOO (National Association of Electrical Outlet Over-loaders) for counseling.

This new outlet my friends is the highlight of our kitchen redo if you ask me.

As I was cleaning up what was left of the debris I got a glimpse of what our kitchen used to be ... cream ~ blue ~ sea foam ...

and now ... It's Electric! Boogie Woogie Woogie

That is one of the many things I noticed when we moved from our 50s style ranch house to our newly built colonial about 10 years ago...all the available electricity! I think I have more outlets in my kitchen here than I had on the whole main floor of the old house! Very easy to get used to!

Can't wait to see your completed renovation!

That will be nice when the kitchen is done. I always think the kitchen is the most important room in the house.

Hurray for electricity! I have lots of plugs in my kitchen and sometimes they're all in use with electronics recharging. You can never have too many!

This is going to be a happy day in your life -- when the re-do is over. I can't wait to see the pictures.

you won't know yourself with more than one plug, I think the kitchen just has to be the hardest room in the house to get done

Oh, how I laughed about having to unplug the coffee maker constantly and never being able to set the time on it - same thing here in my humble kitchen! Argh!
