N*ked

Yea ... you read that right. I feel like this purse is a bit N*ked. The * is so some pervert doesn't get sent to my blog by google! What a disappointment that would be for them - ha!

I didn't have any matching ribbon, buttons (how did that happen? That's another post entirely)or a darn embroidery machine to dress her up a bit ... and I couldn't' wait. Bah. I'm still mighty fond of her despite the dressed up version I had envisioned. I think it's the lining that gives me a great warm fuzzy ...

The interior is Joel Dewberry's Aviary - love that line! The exterior is this super soft corduroy that I had intended for a skirt but got 1/2 a yard to little. I wasn't about to go around n*ked so I turned a wee bit of it into a Charming Handbag from the Bend the Rules book. This is one Christmas present that might have to be made again ... for me!

That is one cute bag! Some covered buttons would be sweet!

I think it looks great! Yes, maybe some petals to form a flower with buttons in the middle. Seems to be my standby these days.

I love your fabric choices! What about appliqueing a little square of the lining on the front somewhere?

I think that it looks super cute! I like that it is simple but if you wanted to dress it up a bit you could use some of the lining fabric to make a fabric flower. Just a thought! ;) Here is a link to a cute tutorial...

I love the outside fabric. I think it's classic and you could just change the accessories. A scarf, brooch, pin. Whatever you are feeling that day. It could be demure or rock n' roll! I've always wanted to peek at that book!

What a sweet bag - I love it! I think the idea of bringing a bit of the interior to the exterior is a good idea...but it looks great just the way it is, too! Decisions, decisions.
